Shifting Sands – Oman’s Wahiba Desert

We spent two blissful days in Oman’s A’Sharqiyah region as part of our 10-day roadtrip across the country. A night in the desert would normally be outside our price range, but since we were travelling during shoulder season, we managed to snap up a great Agoda deal for the Desert Nights Camp. We knew to expect the luxury tent and incredible buffet meals, but a complimentary trip into the dunes in the camp’s 4×4 was a surprise – and an offer we couldn’t pass up!

Here are a few of the photos I took that night, just as the light was dipping over Oman’s Wahiba Sands.

  1. Extraordinary photos. I am going to use them with my students to talk about patterns in the real world. Thanks for posting Emily.

Thank you so much Marg! Please let me know if you’d ever like some photos in high resolution for your students (I know they can be a little fuzzy on the web).
