When I was planning my first visit to Qatar, I imagined myself souq shopping by day, strolling the Corniche by night, and sipping karak chai (milky tea spiced with cardamom) whenever I got the chance.
I definitely didn’t foresee that I would be whizzing around on an underground metro, or visiting one of the region’s most prestigious modern art museums.
